How to read check engine light codes? On my 3rd generation I could hold in the trip odometer reset and turn the key on and off three time and read the codes.
I tried this on my 4th generation and here is what I Got – I 1120.03, C 93.2, L74.2, cF.9. I don’t know what these are?
Any way to read 4th generation codes without a scan tool?

I got a 20.00 one off Amazon. It's a kcirus ms310. It works good and clears the codes.

You can pick up an inexpensive code reader at any auto parts store. Some of the stores my read your codes for free. Those numbers you got may be factory software information or manufacturer specific codes if the check engine light is on. I would use a scan tool and see if there are any codes before I'd worry about those

Another vote for buying an inexpensive reader and doing it right to get the codes.

I cleared the check engine light and still got the same "codes". They are probably no check engine codes. I got the check engine light after 8 hours of towing. In my final end of the drive I was in the mountains running hard and that was when I got the light. Truck was running fine and still is. I cleared the codes when I got home and it hasn't come back yet?

I will invest in a scan tool. Just wondering if there was a way like my old truck.

Thanks for the replies.
