Wow 18 months old , should've been covered under the 36 mo warranty?
There was a recall on intermittent clusters about 18 months ago ?

Anyway hell who knows dealer techs can screw up anything

I've been fortunate enogh to find a local dealer with some fantastic techs , but but I've been amazed on how some dealership techs just don't get it .

If I were you I'd try a diff dealer .

Fwiw the autostarts seem to fail a lot due to a faulty hood latch sensor , maybe look there yourself .
Hope this helps !

Hi rontrinity7,

Do you have more than 36K miles on your truck? I'm not sure why the repair was not covered, otherwise. Have you considered trying a different dealership for a second opinion?

I wonder if the mechanic may have also deleted the remote start code from the bcm when working on the cluster for some odd reason.

It could also be the RF hub module that the fobs communicate with; on the back cab wall under the window (part of/replaced during remote start install)

Popped the hood and when attempted to remote start. Instrument cluster stated hood was open.
I'll google how to test switch.
Thanks
