Message reset function?

The way I have always done it is, get into your truck, shut the door, put you seat belt on, turn the ignition on (do not start the engine), once you turn it on press the gas pedal fully 3 times within 10 seconds of turning on the ignition. You may or may not hear a tone, Turn the ignition off. It should reset your indicator.

On my 2010 2500 this process took like 20 time to actually work.
