New to forum and newly purchased 2013 ram 1500 Laramie. It's a 4 x 2, 5.7 liter with 8 speed rotary shifter and 3.92 rear axle ratio. I'm not sure if its just me or the normal characteristic of the truck and a 8 speed trans but my question is regarding down shifting or shifting around 1500 rpms. I apologize for my ignorance too but while driving if I'm at 20mph, 40mph, or 60mph if the truck is around 1500 rpms it seems, feels, or sounds like it needs to down shift or is in the wrong gear. Does anyone if it is just normal characteristics of this truck or if there is a issue with trans. It's not anything that would just jump out at a person but my OCD happens to kick in and notice little things from time to time. Any info is welcome or opinion. Thanks...
