Thump from rear when stopping

Purchased a new 2012 1500 4x4 crew cab and I notice when i come to a stop after accelerating it seems like sometimes there is a delayed slight thump from the tranny. Is it gas sloshing around? It seems like it’s mechanical.

There have been numerous complaints from people about the "thumping" sound when stopping. Usually it applied to trucks with the 32 gal. gas tank.

My Ram does the same thing from time to time. Its the fuel inside the tank. Dou you have the 32 gallon tank?

Yes 32 gal tank. Noise just bugs me... Has Ram Acknowledged it or is it just something you get use to?

You get use to it. I don't even notice it anymore.

I have this problem seems like the transmission. I do not have the 32 gal fuel tank. Thoughts

mine does the same thing but only when its 3/4 full...it catches me off guard sometimes but i clue in lol. i also have the 32 gal tank

Same here, about 3/4 to 5/8 of a tank I get the thump.

X3 on 3/4 tank. It was annoying at first but I did get used to it. It is kinda embarrassing though when people are in the truck and ask "what was that??"...
