When i was taking delivery of my R/T i noted the in dash tire inflation was 39 front and 42 rear. I asked about that being so high and was told that is what the factory recommends. The truck was cold and not driven.

I looked on the door post and it says proper inflation is 35 PSI front and rear.

Anybody have any recommendations? The wheel and tires are stock 22"

Thanks, Larry

Don't they normally run the psi high from factory for a break in period on the tires. And then you're supposed to drop it down?

Wrong. Sidewall says max psi. Don't run max unless you need to (like towing). Door jam is where you need to look (for everyday driving and normal conditions). Service techs are suppose to adjust pressure upon you buying the vehicle.

Mine had 40+ in them when I brought it home from dealer. Set it at 34 - 35 all around. 40 psi is just too high on stock tires IMO
