Hey yall,
I have a 2013 Dodge Ram Laramie and I pretty much all bells and whisles as far as air ride, nav, app (Pandora, Yelp, etc), etc. My question is does anyone know if they'll put an vehicle health report thing on this? I know SRT has this package has this. What's funny is my wife has a 2004 Ford Focus, which WILL chamge soon enough, and her Sync has vehicle health report and it emails it to you. Semper fi

If I'm reading your question right, the new Rams do have the health report. But you gotta sign up for it with the Uconnect access package. It and some mopar package came as free trials with my 16 sport but I'll renew it when the trial expires cuz it's kinda cool. They email you once a month with a status of your truck

I've had my '15 Sport RCSB for 15 months now. I didn't renew the Ucomnect Access which was included for 1 year. But I still get the VHRs, as I just got one this week again. I thought these would not continue after the Uconnect ran out.

Hi brownsanta,

Are you pressing the assist button on the rearview mirror, which then gives the Ram Care, Uconnect Care, and Roadside Assistance options on the screen? If Uconnect Care is selected, that does connect to the Uconnect Call Center.

I have found this quite useless on my 2016 Ram Longhorn that was in the service department of my local dealer for over 2 months. The reports I got indicated that there was never any problem with anything at all and yet it had the entire instrument cluster and console removed several times to r/r multiple modules, the doors disconnected and the handles r/r as well as the transmission valve body r/r twice, eventually the transmission itself r/r with a factory new one and finally fixing the original problem, the transmission wiring harness r/r.

It appears this only will tell you of trouble if, when the report is run, there are outstanding trouble codes. The use of the word "History" in the description of the report is false; there is no "history" reported of opened and closed or cleared codes. I know for a fact there were plenty of codes thrown by multiple systems in the process of all the above work.

In general I've found that uConnect is not worth paying over $16 a month to have. I did find that the disabled vehicle assistance was quick and thorough the one time I used it, even knowing exactly where my truck was and dispatching "Pop-A-Lok" for a jump right to me in quick fashion. Other than that, it's not that informative or useful IMO.
