I had a problem with the backup camera and electric tailgate lock. Turns out the connector was loose. On the service summary sheet, the dealer lists a "software flash for IPC". What does this mean and how is it related?

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may describe one or more of the following:
· Instrument cluster backlighting may start flickering. This usually occurs when the
dimming is in the lower settings (high-line instrument panels only).
· The cruise control set speed does not match the digital speedometer (BUX vehicles
only).
