04 dodge 1500 4.7 swap to hemi

Sick of putting money into my 04 ram 4.7 (ngc model) with a basically brand new motor and already had to replace head gaskets and timing chain water pump and others so I'm gonna put a hemi it. What I need to know is will my pcm work with the hemi wiring harness? I know the trans are the same just haven't seen any helpful post on the wiring that's need.

Nope need to change everything, including ALL Wiring harnesses PCM, ECM, TCM, etc. Not even sure you can keep the internal wiring harnesses, some of them may have to be swapped or modded.

The best way to get this done in an economical and timely fashion is to have a complete donor truck, or engine/tranny assembly with wiring harnesses controllers etc... That way you only have to swap from the donor truck to the receiver.

I was looking at this also, but I'm thinking it might be easier to actually change truck for one with a Hemi already under the hood... I'm not sure it is worth the time and effort.

Well in my case my pcm and tcm are all in one and I don't think no one will want a 4.7 with bent valves

The hardest part is the wiring period. I'm currently in the middle of doing the same thing with an 03 quad cab. Go look under your hood on the right side by the brake booster and see if you have the c130 plug. If you do then I might be able to help once I get mine finished
