Had that CEL code on my dash this morning on my way to work. Small evap leak, I'm assuming it's my gas cap, I took the gas cap off after work and retightened it. It came off kind of easily so I think that might have been it. I need to have my code reset..the dashboard looks 100% different with that yellow light emitted on the left :(

yes turn the lights on before you do and it will reset faster! the ecu holds a little power so leaving the lights on drains it. but yeah about 5 min or so!

If you unhook the pos and touch it to the still connected neg terminal, it will reset faster as well. (It will not spark or anything like that either)

Nah when I took it off after work it came off rather easily, I don't even think I heard a pop, so I just tightened it back up (thinking the cap was just too loose)..I have a little OCD when it comes to CEL's so I just took it by advanced and reset the computer..

Sounds like a good investment, where do they sell them? Online? And also, can I hook it up to other vehicles if I need to?

autozone, kragen, oreily, etc... they all sell them. you could probably also find them online. possibly even cheaper than locally. and yes, they will hook up to any vehicle with an OBDII port.

Thanks, I will be looking into one, do you know any of the "more well-known" manufacturers of any scanners? Did a quick Google search and am receiving a handful of companies, just not sure which one to go with..
