superchips is also a code reader . plus you get more HP .

yeah but superchips run on the expensive side, i don't wanna blow all that money on my budget .. not yet

I would just use the built in reader on the dash to get your codes, then come on here and use the awesome sticky RH put up to figure out what the codes are until you save enough to get a SC

Got mine off ebay for $62. Reads live data too.
And I would assume you could use this on any OBDII vehicle no matter what brand.

When you say it reads live data, what exactly does that mean? When the CEL is on?

Live data would be actual measurements being taken from the vehicle. RPMs, Temps, maybe 02 readings, probably a handful of others.
