I have a 2007 Ram 2500 with the 5.7L and my truck has lost all power. It has done this before and after messing with the remote start button a few times it finally would start. Now it is completely dead. This morning it tried to start for a second then went black again.....battery and alternator are fine....any ideas? How do I take the remote start system off? I've read that this is common with those.

I wouldn't rip it out just yet.
People are always blaming remote starts for various problems. Unless it's been installed improperly, maybe be worth it to swing by an audio shop and have them check. It out?

Ive seen hundreds drain batteries, cause no starts, and weird weird light issues. Personally if its aftermarket GET IT OUT. They are junk

I've installed thousands.
If it's done correctly. It's seamless.

If it's hacked in by joe in his backyard, it can cause problems.
You decide.
