Truck died while driving the other day. Tried jumping it but didn't work. Checked all fluid levels and battery power but everything looks fine. When i turn the key it clicks once then sounds like something is turning on in the engine then stops. Tried resetting the PCM but that didnt work. Need help

Are you saying the engine is cranking but won't start?

Does the ignition key have a security chip, I don't have one myself, but it'll keep it from starting if not recognized by the truck. You'll need a dealer to reprogram one if I understand it right. Someone who knows 06 models should post up. Does your fuel pump run when the key is turned on? Should run for 3-4 seconds.

Have you checked the battery cable going to the fender ground. Try cleaning the ground at the fender. If it cut off driving and then wouldn't crank, it really sounds like a fuse or relay let go. Try switching relays.

Looking at the 03 manual it shows the starter circuit to be very simple and since yours cut off while running it points pretty much at a bad ignition switch.

IPM? The 06 has another name for it but it is the basically the same. Power distribution center corroded?
