As you all may know I dont really drive my truck much , but this winter I have more than most .

I have a issue I cant track down and need some input .

For some reason my truck likes to eat battery's .

Here is the skinny .. thought I had a bad battery , took it in for a test it was low reading 11 volts not 12 . But after a our on the charger is tested 100%
So I thought the alt was bad ... had it tested .. 100%
So I did a code scan .. got Battery Low Voltage ... duh
Lost com with radio .. probably because im not running stock
And this one ? Condenser fan control circuit open ? Now I looked and traced everything does this dam thing have a relay ? Pulled all the fuses in the box all were good except the cig lighter .

I have no idea what is killing my battery .

If you have anything to add that would be awesome

The code for the fan was B10CO

Yes ... all aftermarket and are working as should .

It has to be something to do with the condenser fan control circuit open code

Everything else is fine

Something is drawing. Check your fuses when the truck is off to see which one it is

Already did

It has to be a bad battery not holding charge . Reason ... the alt is powering like it should on the tester .
Charge the battery 100 % then start it and drive ... the entire time the alt is pushing 138+ amps to the battery . Get home test the battery its down to 60%

Bad cell I dunno , but im getting another battery

That's probably it. My optima did that in my firebird would be at 12-13 volts and by the time I got to the parts store it was at 8, turned out to be a bad battery

If the battery was only at 12v then it was not fully charged...it was only around 25%...a 100% charged battery should read at 12.7 volts...

Just hope you didnt hurt your alternator at all with it trying to maintain a bad battery. A bad battery last December cost me a new alternator on my 318.
