Hi guys, I just picked up a trans temp guage for my 03 5.7 Ram. I need to know which cooler line is the out going line on the trans. I want to put the sensor in that line as it should be the hottest fluid to get a good reading as to the temp of the trans.

Thanks in advance!

Smart man. I still need to do this to mine. It's just in a port right now and not getting a very accurate reading.

For anyone who needs to know I found out it is the top cooler line on the side of the trans.

What exactly did you use to tap into it? And how hard was it?

This is what I installed in the line. I just cut the line with a tubing cutter and installed the T fitting. It took a couple of hours to do the whole install. I mounted the gage on top of the steering column just behind the emergency flasher button.

Okay. Thanks! I have the gauge. Just don't have it hooked up properly.
