Hi guys I'm new to this forum but not to trucks , but I'm having a issue I can't sort out with my 5.2 2wd... When i first start it hot or cold it has s squealing/high pitched noise coming from the top of the motor .. I've ruled out pulleys . The belt, the steering pump . It's definitely something coming from the top of the motor .. Right around the intake area ... It does it on and off for about a minute the. Stops .... The truck sometimes starts to idle rough while this noise is happening then goes away ...what's going on lol
