Ok so after putting a turbo on my 2001 ram with a 5.2 magnum I realized how bad my trans actually sucked. After talking to a family member he suggested a 700r4 and immediately I was hooked with how good of a trans that is I would be stupid not to. Only problem is I need to find an adapter for the bellhousing. I found the plate alone on summit but nothing else. Is that plate all I need or is there more parts and pieces to it?

Most likely you'll need an adapter plate and a flywheel/flexplate. I do not think 700r4s are electronic so you'll probably need a stock ram 5speed ecm so you don't throw tranny codes. I know on YouTube a guy put a 4l80e in a dodge ram.... mat try contacting him

I really dislike the 1-2 shift of these trannys, way too long of the drop, I've owned a few, the 200R-4 should be give some consideration instead of the 700

700- 3.06 first, 1.62 second
200- 2,74 first, 1.57 second

I'm hoping to be putting a 200 behind my 550hp/600ft lb 454 within the next year

You can use a 4spd auto PCM, but you'll have a check engine light, nothing that will affect the way the engine runs.

I don't think the 700r4 is ecm controlled is it? I was saying use a 5speed ecm so he would not have any codes lol. Incase he has emissions.
