carrying spare shafts on the trail with me from here on in, bought a used complete shaft from a guy who had over 40 2nd gen rams in his yard for $100 yesterday, and he swears that they made the shafts thicker in '00 and '01.

now i cant find ANYWHERE on the internet where this is infact true, but he seems to be standing strong on the issue, as i mentioned i found a few from earlier 2nd gen models, and he says i will have a prob with them since thinner and not sitting correctly in the seal.

anyone happen to have any input on this?
*if i look to purchase new shafts onlline there is no difference,
but this guys seems to eat/sleep/deficate dodge rams so im wonderin...

Never heard of it either. I know the TRACK BARS were different for EARLY 94 model trucks, but never axle shafts. 00-01 OREs had trussed front axle housings, but not different shafts.
