Hey guys, was just wondering if anyone here has experience or knowledge with the megaviper trannys for our trucks? My stock 46re doesn't like the 8" lift too much even with 4.56 gears, and I just wanna stop having to worry about it. So I'm looking for some options here

I have plans to get rid of the juice box all together here sometime, NV4500 swap. I just have to find one that's priced right.

I was wondering when you would pipe in mark haha glad you did! Is the NV45 swap bolt in? And how do you think that would compare to a megaviper if or daily driver/ weekend warrior?

Very much a bolt in job.

Look for one out of a 94-01 2500-3500 V8 5.9 gas, get the flywheel working out including the xcase and the pedal assy, all parts stick/clutch related. Then get the tools out and go hard.

I have always liked stick trannys, I can rebuild them myself where as I do not work on auto's. So me yes I like the mechanical feel over a fluid drive system.

At least half or less than what you would spend on the viper auto. You might look for a written off truck or a full parts truck.

Cant comment transmission wise, still running the stock auto too, but great time for an X-case upgrade too *whistling*. Megavipers are supposed to be pretty good trans'.
