I am almost 100% sure the clutches in my rear end need to be replaced. I have a jerking popping feeling on turns going slow, and sometimes I don't believe I have posi in the rain.

Before I go further, is there any way to find out if they are indeed bad?

If they are, is this what I will need?

Dana Spicer Part 707083X - Dana 60 Trac-Loc Clutches - 4 Wheel Parts

Any information would be great!

Any help? Also, I am now getting a whining noise from my rear end. I jacked up my rear end and let it run in gear. The sound is clearly from my rear end. But, I'm not 100% sure what the cause would be. I've read it could be the gears them selves, or the pinion bearings.

It only makes noise on acceleration. As soon as I let off the gas, it stops. Any ideas?

As far as the clutches go you will have to remove the carrier to replace them so consider buying an install kit and replace the bearings, crush sleeves etc.. Spicer is a good brand but I'm not able to give you a lot of info on dana 60 parts. The wining noise could be any number of bearings or the gears themselves. A master install kit should fix the issue there as long as they're installed right.

If you've got whine, the diff is gone. Sorry...

And as for getting help quickly, a lot of us have been actually out in the sun here lately (I'm speaking of myself here...) and don't always see new tech threads come up due to the way the forum marks them as new.....
