Hello. This is my first time on the ram forum. I really need some help with my Dodge. I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 V8 5.2L engine. Late last year, I was getting a new muffler. The installer put the muffler on, but took off my catalytic converter. He said that it will run fine. Few weeks later, my truck started hesitating and jerking. When I'm on the freeway and press down on the pedal it goes even slower. I had a mechanic check it out and he said that my sensors were fried and when he hooked the code tester to my truck, it didn't read anything. I don't know what's going on. I wondering if the computer module is fried and I need another. Please DODGE NATION! HELP ME OUT.

Sounds like when the "mechanic" took the cat out he ****** the sensors.

I think if you replace both sensors you should be good to go.

I think. You shouldn't rely just on me tho. :D

Also, when I'm driving, my engine knocks sometimes when I press down on the pedal.
