So my airbag light has been on for a while and it has never thrown a code my OBDII scanner could read. I borrowed a Dealer level scanner from my old man's buddy. It came up with "Driver Squib Circuit Short"

I'm at a loss.....WTF is a Squib.

The Great Omnipotent Interwebs have been unable to tell me what is wrong.

Any help is, as always, greatly appreciated.

A squib is a small explosive device. From an airbag perspective, it's the thing that detonates to deploy the airbag.

If your throwing a code for a short, it's either a short in the wiring to the airbag or in the wiring itself. My first check would be in the clockspring and steering column.

i have my doubts that it is the clockspring. I replaced it this time last year and my horn and cruise control still work. However ill still check the wires for continuity.

just because other stuff works right doesn't mean everything else does.
