Taking care of all the stuff I generally check out on a new to me vechicle and getting my new old Ram ready for winter. Got new Cooper Discoverer HT's yesterday and had alignment checked. It was spot on, but they said track bar is shot, so I've got a Moog on the way. The interesting thing is I googled the Moog part number and found it cheapest on Amazon.com. It was even less than RockAuto and was $55 less than Advance.
Hopefully, after fluid change for the axles, I'll have some trouble free miles ahead.

Just got to change coolant and thermostat but I'm already wintered up. I've got the winter fronts on Cummins. Out here cold air intakes are not a good thing being it gets so darn cold.

My Dodge is winterized & ready for winter. Have to change oil on my Blazer. Then sometime this winter I'm going to take my Jeep GC 5.9 Limited to the shop to have the Plenum plate replaced with a Hughes plate kit.
Trying to keep up with four vehicles as an old man is work. Too much work anyway. I think sometime why do I have this many vehicles?? Part crazy I guess, plus they are all paid for & have been. So they cost next to nothing to sit or be driven.

I think I am going to put my stock intake back on with the K&N, put the topper on, and change the oil this weekend. I am hoping my tranny makes it so I have time to save a for a rebuild.

Check out the Road Ripper tranny from Certified Transmission. They have a Distributor on MLK in Des Moines.

Here is a link for info on that series of trans:

That a PV setup?

I need to change my oil. That's all I'm doing to get ready for winter. Going to try and ride the bus when it snows. The road salt they are using these days is just to f'n nasty. Don't want that crap all over m'new truck!

Plugging in your truck... Well here in Idaho we don't have the infamous current bushes. The climate too cold to grow current bushes. But Electric Rocks might spring up here and there...

Plugging in for wussies...

I got my oil changed. Stupid design.
Need a filter relocator, drips straight down on my Rack.

Truck is as 'ready' for winter as it's going to get.

My 2008 4.7 has a plastic ski ramp thing under the filter that diverts the oil out. I have a pic that I posted in another thread. When I get home tonight ill post it here

Neat! I've also seen a "flexible funnel" advertised on the PowerBlock that would likely work.

I'd kinda rather just move the oil filter, and get one of those 2 qt HUGE filters on it.
