lol Well you all will get a full report. I just gotta get them installed first. Thought about going up and getting a strut compressor but that will only compress the spring I need to compress the whole thing about an inch or 2. I may just go home and fight with them tonight. I can already say that the side that is done is tons stiffer. I got a buddy that is 350+ and I told him to stand on the pass side. He stood there nothing. Went to the driver side. Whole truck slumped to the side and was all mushy. So far they are looking promising. He even jumped up and down. Little movement on the one side. Tons on the other. So I can't wait to go get a 1500lb load of grave and see how they compress.

A lot of that tension is in the spring. We had a guy bring back a defective set that supposedly blew apart while he was just driving down a paved road...
But those springs are stiff. We set a long block and transmission core on a pallet on top of one of them and it only compressed an inch or so

Yea I can only compress the sping about 2 inches by hand. So Not sure how this next install is going to go. Hell I had to set the jack on a cinderblock to reach the frame so I could relieve the suspension, and even then couldn't get it in there. Gonna try to use the hitch tonight to lift the whole rear up to hopefully get enough space to install the next one.

FINALLY!!!!! After rain and other jobs I finally got the shocks installed and what a difference. I literaly have a leveled or lifted truck now.

That is a lot of open space!! It's amazing what some new shocks can do.

Only one problem though........ My new exhaust I just had done. Well it has to be redone because now there isn't enough clearance to have the shock, pipe, and spare in there. So I have to take it back to the guy and see what he can do. Sigh But on a side note I have to go get 4k in gravel this weekend so I will get to try them out woo hoo!!!

Oh and Mark any idea what kind of warranty these show up with?? I forgot to look.

^^^^ Good idea dan.

Thanks for the lookup Mark. I'll go out and get ya some measurements.

Edit: Ok I gained roughly 2inches in the rear. I was an inch below the front now I'm about 3/4 of an inch higher in the rear.

Ok well I got to haul my first load with the new shocks today. Let me tell you that if you do any type of heavy hauling trailer towing or anything of the sort these are a blessing. Hauled 3k in the back of the truck. Yes 3000 lbs of gravel and sand. Took the truck down to the overloads but still had travel. Tires barely bulged if any. Took all the bumps and cracks and rough roads on the way home like a caddy. I am not kidding that was probably the smoothest loaded ride I have ever had. Mark if you are thinking of getting some I say go for it. Price wasn't bad and gave me an inch or 2 of lift and almost doubled my payload. Well worth the pain. Now for the pics:

Title of this thread .. "Guess what im doing ? "

Not going to read it just going to respond .

Now Nancy , it is hard for me to guess what you do as you are a odd ball character , but if I were a guessing man I would say you are going to make love to your truck and they complain it was to needy ?

Was I close ?
