Try a different/new battery, make sure the connections to it are clean and tight.

The voltage regulator is in the PCM of the truck. Meaning the computer controls the charging voltage.

If your lights are flickering while driving, and you know the alternator is good (it could be bad out of the box). The PCM most likely is the culprit

You can wire up an external regulator if you dont want to swing the $$$ for a new PCM.

A voltage regulator and plug can be purchased for less than $30
