I think it's a waste. Is pulling the lever back that big of an issue?

It won't be worth it IMO. Plus, it's just something else to fail eventually...

Practicality isn't always the first thought especially when you are modding something to make it better for you. Heck if we wer practical about our mods we wouldnt install projectors, HIDs, lift kits, subwoofers, wheels etc etc etc.

I say make it your own!!! :naughty:

Unfortunately, I can't provide any useful information on how to do it though :baby:

You would probably have to buy the actuator for the transfer case as well. Seems like more work than its worth but then again I just made an angled shifter so what do I know. Maybe there is a dodge already out with a push button? My durango is a stick.... Maybe a chrystler aspen is push button since its a fancy pants durango.

It would be cool for sure. Lol. I don't have a push button in my truck but I do have a little knob I turn like my headlights.

There is a lot more than a button to engage a transfer case. Fords & Chevys hasve actuators & motors to engage the transfer case on the T/C. On my Blazer when you push the button it sends a vacuum signal to the actuator then it sends a signal to the front end to lock it. This is a real basic illustration. This is also controlled by the computer.
It would be cheaper & easier to buy a GM with button 4x4. Or maybe adapt a GM T/C to your Dodge. Not trying to be a smart A$$ but research how the GM T/C operate.

I stopped after this post....

that push button is a POS. a $75 POS when it breaks, and it does multiple times.

my second chevy 4wd I search high and low for one with a floor shifter.

its just not a well planned system.

WOAH!!!! yall are not listening to me my console goes over the dog house (where the shifter is) and it looks like crap with it being so damn short. unless yall know a way to extend the shifter cause when i put the body lift on it the shifter will go under the console where i cannot access it......be nice on your comments it was just an idea so far..damn

If you just want to extend the shifter, cut it and then weld a longer shaft to it and/or different shorter handle... that's what a friend did on his jeep

It's not a true 4x4 in IMO if there isn't a shifter on the floor.
