Hello im new to this forum but iv been working on cars most of my life and ill be blunt iv never really cared for new Dodges of any kind but that said earlier this year I picked up a 95 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie 2WD 5.9L 4 speed auto for $700 and so far despite having over 365,000 miles on the clock its been a trooper

More to the point like most guys my age I like to one up my buddy's so the other week I decided to install a shift kit in my 46RH transmission so after reading some good reviews online I picked up a new B&M 10227 Transpak and got right to work NOW iv done this kind of thing before so it went right together and I followed the instructions to the letter but there's a problem

When I put the truck in drive the transmission wants to start in 2nd gear now if I put the shifter into 1st it will start in 1st and iv got all for gears but I can't get it to work iv adjusted the TV cable iv even took the valve body to a friend of mine who is a master rebuilder and has put ton of these kits in over the years and had him look it over and every thing is to B&M spec

Now my friend told me when I took it to him that there's to much PSI on the TV valve and thats why its starting in 2nd now like iv said iv adjusted the TV cable but its only gotten alittle better he also said it could be the governor sticking causing the high TV PSI

Has any one had this problem and if so did you fix it and how did you fix it???

That's good you got it fixed! I did some valve body work on a old explorer I had, wasn't too fun
