My phones camera quit working suddenly but now my truck has vision warrior wheels, and chrome nerf bars. The pic below is of the day i was bringing it home. Anyone have any ideas on where to go with it?

I use it for a little bit of everything actually. I haul with it, i use it as my daily driver also. As it sits right now the only thing aftermarket is the wheels. But i have new bosch fine wire spark plugs, new distributor cap, and new rotor ready to go in!
It has new intake plenum gaskets, and new fram air filter. I just ran seafoam through the gas tank, vacuume line, and oil. So the engine was cleaned up some. It runs pretty good also, just not as "quick or fast" as i thought it would be. (Have rode in other trucks just like mine to compare to)
I would like to do some performance modifications to get some more power out of it. But im 18 and live on my own while working full time 55hrs a week, its a little hard to be tearing into the internal parts of the motor. So i would like to stay with just bolt ons for now. But i know my way around when it comes to this kind of stuff so working on it wont be a problem.
A few ideas ive had my self are: headers, CAI, better ignition system, and possibly a programer (such as a superchips) but i have no idea where to go with these. Theres so many different types/kinds of each part, that i could purchase something that is either not worth the money or wont work on my truck. So im seeking guidance on whats going to fit best, and be the best bang for my buck.

A CAI is not really going to help performance wise, because the stock set up is already pulling colder air from the fender the only reason for having a cold air intake is for the sound really. As far as programmers go, superchips are great and will eliminate your death flash, however the best tuner for these trucks are the sct tuners, but these don't really help until you start doing serious mods like cams and rockers, so your call really. A good exhaust set up, including headers, will increase performance but not as much on their own. The biggest bang for your buck right now will be the tuner. Since you have the death tune you should notice a significant increase performance wise

Another concern of mine is that doing all this is going to kill my fuel milage. As long as i keep my foot out of it, will it still be able to get 14mpg?

Most performance mod's will increase mpg as they make the motor more efficient, but as you stated its keeping your foot out of it. As posted start with a tuner, then go from there. I have a nice built motor and until this year it averaged 14-16 mpg not bad for a big truck, but they upped the speed limit and well it's now in the 10-12 range. Speed plays a huge role in mpg, these trucks are a brick, never made for mpg they were made to work.

What gear ratio does your truck have? Side note I have read and heard nothing but bad things when you put none OEM plugs in a Mopar. I don't know why but just seems anything but copper and you wasted money. I would do the copper champions that came in there if it was me.

It is true a rare earth plug does not go well in these year trucks, any copper plug works just fine. I am not a champion person at all they are only good for OMC and Ski-Doo lol. Bosch is my choice of plug above the rest.

I am not a huge champion person either. I really like NGK plugs so I was pretty happy when the 4th gen went that way. Why is that the Mopars seem to resist the "fancy" plugs. I remember trying platinum and double platinum in a 3.5L V6 I had and just liked copper or ran like crap with others.

Best I can come up with is weak ign system for these years, not to sure why the newer trucks don't like them even with coil packs. I look at it this way it keeps that $100+ for fancy plugs in your wallet. 16 plugs for the Hemi @ $20+ each up here for Bosch +4 platnum plugs man that would cost hard.

Im for sure going to look into a tuner. Probably a sct tuner. So, where are the major restrictions on these trucks? The y pipe? Catalytic converters?

Yes the Y pipe is very restrictive if its the one piece style (two into one). Mr. BBartow or old man DD94 should know where you can get the off-road Y.

I do not see why it would not work with your plans. As for cat converter run one simple as that, high flow would be a good choice.

The y pipe on the 00-01 trucks is much better than the previous. Here is the difference:

As you can see the portions that are different won't affect anything with the installation of a offroad y pipe.

So theres not really a need for a off road y pipe? I want to find all of the restricted weak points and improve them before i start with anything else. Might as well get rid of all the restrictions now instead of putting $5000 in performance parts into it and have all the power still be held back!

I changed my spark plugs today. The 4 towards the front were straight white with tons of carbon build up. The ones in the back were white also but had a faint tan coloring to them. Can anyone tell me why??
