not really tech related, so I'll put it here.

I've been running around town all week b/c we have a small tile job at a casino about 20 miles from the office, picked up a mortar mixer, hauling tile and mud, etc.

late afternoon I had several bags of mud mix in the bed, plus tools, about 600-800 lbs. the main road is 45 spd limit, multiple traffic light, moderate traffic, etc.

the trans was running fine, not hunting or anything, just with the load, decide to turn the overdrive off.

with that off, the truck feels awesome!!!
it shifts so smooth and has constant power and throttle response.

it is good to turn it off when towing right?
I'm not sure what it will hurt having it off alot of the time for no reason, but what do yall think?
around town?
poor gas milage?

I turn mine off all the time, creates less shifts.

yes, you want to turn overdrive off when towing and hauling. On newer models that call it the tow/haul button instead of overdrive...LOL

Turning it off hurts nothing. In town it will most likely help by not shifting as much it runs cooler.
