I have a 1998 ram 1500 with rear abs. The abs module went out so I replaced it with a new mopar unit. Now the abs light flashes and the speedo still doesn't work. I have heard that the new abs module needs programmed but I don't know. Anyone had this problem
Thanks

Well that sounds about right....should be sync'd with the CTM and flashed for VIN in theory.

The ABS module needs to be programmed with the correct tire size in order to determine vehicle speed. In the Chevys it must be programmed to work with their body controller. I think the ABS modules for us just need to be programmed into the CCD Bus, this all required a DRBIII scantool, of which I want, but cant spend $3K on.
