Hi fellas new member. I have a 1998 4 door 12 valve cummins 2500 3/4 auto.
been a rock solid investment and friend to me this past year never let me down and i have had to pull buried Chevys out of ditches with it plenty o times.

It runs like a champ always fires up etc, but lately its been doing something weird when its cold at certain places like mild hills etc. When I put it in reverse then back up and then go to drive (automatic column shifter moves to D) its like the transmission doesnt shift at all. If I over move it all the way to 1st gear then back left to the D it is fine. I dont like this though and wonder if its indicative of a fail. Any advice?:help:

I'd start with checking the fluid and shift linkage to the trans. Sounds like something is either slow or binding.
