So I'm curious about the shifting when it gets into higher gears. 1st and 2nd gear shift smoothly but when it gets to the other gears it seems like it takes a longer to shift or higher RPMs than I'd like. How can I change the shift points to a certain RPM?

You'll need a programmer that supports tranny tuning, from there I'm no help, not too familiar with shift points. Someone of more help will chime in soon

You can also adjust the TV cable, which should alter points as well. The bands may need adjustment to. Are you running bigger then stock tires? That can change the rpm as well.

Yes I am running bigger off road tires. I was thinking that was throwing off the shifting. So you recommend adjusting the TV cable, is that expensive or cheap adjustment?

Well thats gonna throw your rpms outa whack. What size? Did you regear accordingly if necessary? Adjusting the TV cable is free since you do it yourself :signs8:

Your TV cable might be pulled too far back.

Are the shifts overly firm or harsh?

They are 285/75/16. Ah free is good lol. Now I'll have to figure out how to actually do is as I have no idea what that part is lol. The shifting is overly firm.

Ahh thats not so bad then :) Was concerned you were running something wild like 35's on stock gears :p

Grab a haynes manual, great investment.

Oh ya nothin that big. So with it running higher RPMs its not going to damage the transmission by over working it? AH cool I will def look for that manual, thanks

Its not the rpm's to be worried about, its the stress on the drivetrain which the frail glass trans' we have really don't need extra of. I just bought it off their site, prob cheaper in store though.

I'm running the same size. If your shifts are overly firm, you need to adjust the TV cable.

It needs to be pushed in approx. 1/8" toward the front of the engine.
