01 Ram 3500 4wd with V10 auto trans. stock oem everything. The starter cranks a little slow when cold, much more slowly hot. Is there any history of heat soak in this model? Was there ever a heat shield for these starter motors?

Also possible it's just a bad electrical collection. Electricity doesn't flow as well in higher temps
