Steering box leak from the top

i didn't notice any difference. the last couple times i have topped it up with 15w40 which is what i have been putting in my engine. still works the same as it did when i was wasting ATF

Mine isn't leaking that badly. Not so bad as to make puddles or drops. Just coat most of the box. lol

input shaft seal on mine leaks and has since the day i got it. i think someone damaged the seal when they changed steering columns.

i think if you are not seeing puddles or drops on the ground then you most likely don't have a leak. most likely road crap jumping up off the road.

i think it is just road crap. once you wash the steering box off i think it will be fine.

My steering box is so gunked up I'm pretty sure there's no rust because there's so much oily crap on it haha.

Gotta clean the one on the Ram off more as well as the one on the 76. lol

Yeah I've got a small leak in the 2003 as well. But it doesn't drip just makes an area look pretty damp. So it doesn't worry me. I've tightened all the hoses anyways.

Same here, minus tightening hoses. Nothing much to tighten in that area.
