I recently bought a 2001 2wd Dodge Ram and it has insanely sloppy steering. So, I've been looking around for a new steering shaft. All I seem to find are for 4wd besides the Borgeson shaft. Are their any other options that are cheaper like the 4wd Dorman options?

Thanks for any feedback

Sloppy steering is common on these models. Do some searching here. Lots of good posts on this to help you make an informed purchase.

Check out the death wobble, the issue is largely the steering gearbox having some slop in addition to not having a sturdy enough mount. There are aftermarket brackets that will shore this up. If it has an aftermarket steering gearbox then the backlash might be adjustable.
