I see several issues with slop. I've ruled out the upper steering shaft because it's tight. But, the shaft connecting to the box is a different story. Is this a pet needing replaced or the box itself?

Slip

Video won't load so I'll give a still pic. This part turns left and right big time (several inches each way) before grabbing the shaft in the box and doing any type of steering.

I would undo that bolt and look at the splines. Also look at the receiving end and see if she is a little stripped. If the slop is in the box you can adjust it.

the steering box has an adjustment for the sector shaft which can cause a ton of play

the intermediate collar that was turning wasn't tightened down as well as it needed. Replaced box, got it good and tight, helped a ton.
