Hey guys, I was under my truck greasing the front end and i noticed my original steering stabilizer is pretty rusty/worn

Im running 34 inch mtz tires on 17 DC-2 rims

Truck isnt driven off road at all, but i want something that will be better than oem.

I have no shakes or wobble right now, but id rather be pro active in getting this done

What do you guys run for a steering stabalizer? need reviews and good places to buy from

any help would be great

Take it off, throw it in the garbage and forget about it.

I'm not recommending OEM, I'm recommending nothing for a stab. Save your money.

As DD94 IF, and thats a big IF, you have to much bump steer then think about replacing it. Do a thorough front end inspection before that though.

lol I get mild bump steer from time to time. That's the only reason I haven't done anything with mine. Nothing there but it's also not bad enough to look into getting it fixed.

Factory stabby from 98! :word:

I have the same and the funky screw for installing the RC stabilizer was junk and it wouldn't allow me to use the metal sleeve or the locking washer.. how was your install?

Bump steer: You hit bump/object in path. Tire hits and drags the front of the truck one way or the other

What if you hit object, steering wheel turns one way or the other but then steering wheel comes back to center before truck has time to be dragged one way or another?

Doesn't make sense? Sorry its damn early hah

The bump STEERS the truck for you. It's like torque steer....the truck will usually move to one side of the lane or the other.

Dual stabilizers are a waste of time and just hide problems in the front end until parts physically snap. Also you're in the 94-01 section lol
