Stock Dana 44 and Dana 60 upgrades?

Hi guys I'm new to the site and couldn't find what I'm looking for I'm looking to beef up my stock axles with out a boat load of cash but everything I find is about swapping out to bigger axles what all options do I have to beef them up some? Any advice will help thank you

Honestly, swapping to D60 is probably the cheapest, easiest to "beef" your axles. They are under 3/4 ton trucks, direct bolt in job in the front. Ive heard of people swapping the C's and knuckles froma 60 onto the 44 and putting bigger shafts in it as well. I dont know much about that route though, hopefully someone will chime in on that.

Alright thank you and what about for the rear that's already a Dana 60 would the 2500 rear be a direct fit also?

Dana 60 is already a 2500 rear. They're strong axles stock. You could add an LSD or a locker, that would make it awesome.

Alright thank you and what about for the rear that's already a Dana 60 would the 2500 rear be a direct fit also?

1500s have a Chrysler 9.25 rear. 2500 v8s have Dana 60s. 2500 v10/diesel autos have Dana 70s, and the manuals have Dana 80s.

As far as fitment goes. I believe the only difference is the 2500 axles use 3" leaf springs and 1500s use 2.5" leaves. You'd need to swap perches or swap hangers depending on which leaves you use.

Ya I realized I read it wrong after I was working on a seal in my rear axle it's the 9.25 and I'd love to do an axle swap on it ha but I don't have the money for new rims cuz arnt he d60's an 8 bolt or somthing ATM I got dx series 20" rims w 33 super swampers kinda didn't wanna change them if possible
