I have a 2001 ram 1500 4x4 automatic and wanting to do a 5 speed swap with the nv3500 trans. Will I have to change the computer in my truck any help will be appriciated thanks.

Yes and no. The PCM will freak out if it doesn't see a transmission there, however you can still drive it. You can either get a PCM out of a truck that already has a manual transmission or you can have your programed to turn off the auto function.


The second one, I am not sure how to get done.
