I have a 1997 dodge ram with the 3.9 v6.
My 42re transmission blew up so I just got done putting in a 46re from salvage yard. Everything bolted up fine, the plug ins were even the same. Haven't ran it yet, but my question is, will the computer shift it fine, or will it go into limp mode because it's not a 42re? And will I have to have Chrysler reprogram the computer?
