That is a bump stop. Usually they're bolted in, looks like on your drivers side that it's either gone or broke off.

bump stop. it either broke off, or someone deliberatly took it off to get a little more suspension travel. stupid idea tho.

Thanks guys. I have been looking into ordering this part and it shows the part with a cap and without a cap. since mine is missing, but a cap is still present, should I purchase it with or without the cap and does a bolt come with it to hold the bumper into place. I am not sure about my needs for this replacement. I would appreciate anyone's input to help out. Thanks again in advance.

go ahead and get it with the cap just in case. the bolt prob wont come with it, but they should be able to tell you what does. just ask them to see.
