**** maybe I need to get some new tunes and an M1 :naughty: I gotta hit my gas a little harder to break mine loose on blacktop, 2500 rpm is a good spot to start them spinning

Oh believe me i want one. I'm thinking like 2200? Stock is 1800 right?

Yes 1800 is stock. That's a good number to start with. You need your new cam specs to get the right stall.

That'll prob be awhile down the road. After the headers I'm prob done doing motor stuff until at least after xmas. Then maybe just some 1.7s

Mine has a stock stall but it kinda behaves like a 2000 stall.

Just me I would do the higher stall before the headers in this case yes 2200 2300 would be great.

I wish. Don't have the equipment to do it myself. Have to have a shop do it so I'll have to feed dad some bs about my tranny screwing up again or something.

Plus i already have the headers lol

if you can rent or get your hands on a engine hoist for a few hours you would be golden :). Yes I would pull the motor to do this not drop the tranny.

Heck all you have to do is slide the motor ahead say a foot, so drop the exhaust, the motor mounts, the engine wiring harness, cooling fan, starter, A/C just move it to the side. pull the bellhousing bolts and pull the motor ahead, then R&R the tq reassy and bye bye.

On the topic of converters, rear end ratio/tire size and intake can also influence what stall you should get

One of the reasons i posted this info, as for gear ratio i just went with 3,54 give or take.

Yeah for him it's more simple. I only said that for anyone else looking at a converter.

I need to catch up with you fellas. Haven't actually talked to many of you in a while.
How you been Mark? Seen you've been working on that Chevy
