I used j-hooks and oem rubber grommets because mine kept breaking. I went through 5 or 6 sets of generic hangers. I bought a box of 20 lol I used 2

A buddy of mine has an 01 ran 1500. Has 103k miles. It purrs like a kitten. But lately it's been burning a lil oil and losing power on hills and if he trys to give more gas to push it up a Hill it struggles and starts pinging.......

I was thinking intake plenum.

I agree but the only way to know is get a vacuum gauge and test vacuum in the intake. That or pull the intake and see for yourself. I need to do the same but I need to borrow vacuum gauges.

I seen oil in the bottom of the intake too

I fixed my plenum issue, and the pan on the bottom of the intake is covered in oil again. That is just the PCV system, but what you describe sounds exactly like the plenum. Its not a waste of money if it will have to be done at some point. Or if it prevents cylinder 7/8 from going bad.

I wonder how much more powerful my truck would feel if I removed all the crap in mine. Last time I was at the scrap yard my truck weighed just about 7K-lbs after I dropped all the scrap off :)

You keep your truck much cleaner than I do, almost every pound over empty weight for an 01 2wheel drive truck, is tools.

I figured it's probably somewhere around 5000. lol

Currently, I've got a dolly, two Durango door hinges and that's it. Other stuff is my tow hitch, tow hook and recovery strap

You know what I mean, douchehole!

I got it because I got a good deal on it. Plus, it's saving me a lot of money in gas between driving to school 8 miles each way, followed by work at 19 miles each way. The 6 speed is fun to drive, and the truck I traded in is actually on the lot trying to be sold. I filled it full of bars stop leak, and filled the overflow with fresh coolant.

That is great miles I go 32 miles one way to go to work every day. My girl goes 29 miles to work then 17 to school

I'd give anything to have 8 miles

Man, I guess I am a pack rat. Truth be told, I don't have a back seat, I have storage that comes up to the back window, and a tool box that holds everything too heavy or pointy to put in the cab. Despite crushing the foam in the back seat, I really do want to keep it nice.

Stupid driver seat though, its ripped in the same spot every ram has the rip. Gotta get that thing fixed before it travels into the butt area.

Been there! I filled it back up foam and sewed it up first with thread then fishing line.
