How much boost do you run on that set up? Did you need to upgrade injectors or fuel pump?

Ya fuel pump wasn't necessary but it did help, 39# fuel injectors were added and it's only a 8 psi wastegate

Replaced my pitman arm the hard way. Pitman Arm Puller, PB Blaster, 3lb mini sledge, and a 5lb sledge. That baby was STUCK on there.

I didn't have a readily available grinder to do it the easy way.

Well it's been awhile. Today i got my truck back from the shop that was putting my trans in. Holy **** this PATC is so much better and it's so nice compared to my old one. Specifically the tq converter considering i have lockup now for the first time in like 5 years.

Today i also got my truck cleaned and waxed because in the morning i head up to Minnesota for Mopars in The Park!

Replaced the Transmission output shaft sensor. I will never get used to replacing them. I get covered in trans oil every time. Hopefully this fixed my tc lockup issue. I'm fairly certain it was on its way out.

Just finished up "installing" my new dash ornament. Well, actually I just used some double sided Scotch tape. It worked surprisingly well but the cuts around the feet are sloppy as hell because although I was correct in that I did have a scalpel, I didn't have a fresh blade so the one that I used wasn't very sharp and I couldn't do any real precision cutting.

I don't even remember where this came from. I think it came in a Happy Meal back when Avatar first came out but I have no idea who around here would have ordered such a thing.

So, without further ado, my "pa'li" has an appropriate dash ornament...

Solved 2 vacuum leaks. Both temporary. One was at the cruise control module under the battery. I can't find a replacement so I just capped the house for now. The other was where the pcv hose meets the plenum under the throttle cable. A zip tie fixed that. It was a quick fix until I can get a clamp on it. I had to replace the hose and ended up buying one that was almost to big. I only noticed it because it began whistling at me when I touched it. Truck runs like a champ. Now if I could only sort out the issue of the torque converter locking and unlocking. It's a 200rpm bump when it does it. I'd suspect the OD module except the fact that OD stays engaged.

Gonna order some sport headlights and sport mod this baby in a week or so. Then it's relay mod to take the strain off the headlight switch.

tl;dr I fixed some vacuum leaks.

Replaced cruddy battery terminals with new ones. Had to have the battery charged after it wouldn't start. Attempted to fix the wibbly wobbly steering only to find i am missing my 16mm wrench.

Replaced the two washer/seals on the top of the AC compressor then this broke off and the threads inside stripped out. I had barely even snugged it up when it happened.

I think I'm giving up on the AC at this point.

Yeah, when mine stopped working, I just had the whole works torn out. I never actually use it anyway, I just would occasionally turn it on to keep the works from getting sour, which it did anyway. Freed up a lot of space under the hood and looks more...old school, especially with an open-element air cleaner.

I changed the oil and for the first time ever, the old gasket actually came off the filter and stuck to the block. My purposeful procedure of using the old oil from the old filter to lube the gasket on the new filter may have saved the day since I probably wouldn't have noticed otherwise. I do look around after starting the engine after I fill it with new oil so I may have caught on if I would have seen oil spraying all over the place, LOL. Either way, saved a lot of mess.

Then I gave the truck a nice wash. Grabbed a second sponge earlier this week so I had two buckets, one with soapy water, the other with clean. Was able to wash the entire truck in record time as a result. I need to get a bigger towel though. The two smallish ones that I have are too small for the job.

Then I drove the truck away from the big maple because I'm tired of washing the truck, then going out the next day and seeing it carpet bombed by the birds. Little ********...

Shift Kit Day. Put in a TFOD-HD2 shift kit, adjusted the bands, New filter, and complete fluid flush. Gonna grease the front end tomorrow and pop in a new clockspring.

Figured out my "transmission" issues.

TPS is reading all the wrong voltages... ALL wrong.

TPS testing - Album on Imgur

Also it registers Wide Open Throttle is 73% when using an OBDII reader. I won't be buying BWD parts anymore. Broken When Delivered as a friend of mine calls them.

^ I actually just put a BWD TPS in my truck today. Engine is definitely smoother now. The hesitation during off-the-line acceleration is gone and that weird RPM oscillation during part-throttle acceleration has also disappeared. The transmission seems to kickdown a little easier as well. I'll monitor stuff for a few days just to be sure but at the moment, I'm happy.

Oddly, the old TPS vibrates when you tap it. It's exactly like when you do the same to a blown light bulb. I suspect the output voltage was "vibrating" during operation and this was causing that RPM oscillation issue. Not sure, just a guess.

Also, for what it's worth, I don't think I've ever heard of a TPS that reads 100% on an OBDII scanner at WOT. My old one read 65.9% and my new one reads 75.9%.

Honestly, I've bought various BWD parts for various vehicles over the years and never had an issue with any of them.

Yeah, my lurch while slowly accelerating is back. The hesitation on take off has returned and every once in a while it throws itself into next gear. I've noticed mine doesn't seem to act up until it gets hot then it throws off all sorts of strange voltages. Those pictures I post in that imgur album were all taken that same moment. All the ones that said "Idle" were taken one right after another, but the voltage wouldn't change unless I moved the throttle and let it go. So for some reason they would show a different value when returned to idle.

Gonna dig through the service manual. Will edit this post when I finish. :)

Edit: well that was quick. So according to the 1996-1997 Service manual the TPS should be producing 1v at idle and aprox 4v at WOT. I didn't suspect that the WOT was off. It was just strange that the voltage fluctuated as much as it did. Idle on the other hand. 0.6v when it should be aprox 1v.... There is my delay on throttle issue and probably cruising issue. If it isn't supplying the proper voltage at cruising speeds then the TC won't lock up like it's supposed to.

Edit 2: You may have different luck with your BWD TPS as it's a different pin out setup. They may have changed other things inside. Between 96 and 97 they apparently changed the plug style.

Wednesday night we got about 30 minutes of golf ball to baseball sized hail. Ended up with 3 decent sized dings in the drivers side bed, both front fenders each got one good sized dent, hood is trashed, windshield got smoked, and my grille that I had repainted a month ago is busted to ****. So far, I have replaced the windshield, and I am strongly considering a challenger style hood for a replacement.
