Done deal the np241 DLD is in the truck with the indexing ring. I will do a small diy over the next few days so people will know whats up with installing a indexing ring.

So I put my foglights on. I think I have them on the wrong side tho. Because with the driverside adjusted all the way down it still shines pretty high. Where the passenger side is adjust dead center and is still lower then the one on the driverside. Or it might just be that I didn't trim out enough of the plastic... But I'm happy with them for now. Not bad for $0.00

Cut the opening bigger with my Dremel

You can see how the drivers side is much brighter. I plan on switching them and seeing how that works.

Brand new never been used 2" drop spindles that I bought off a member on another forum for a killer deal that I couldn't pass up.

^^^ So into the weeds it goes. What are you going to do for the rear, air bags? Funny you go lower for next year and I am getting ready to go taller. The two trucks would look good beside each other I think.

Haha ya I bet they'd look sweet sitting side by side. To bad your all the way on the other side of the country or I'd say we could do a photo shoot with them together. Everyone around me has lifted trucks it's not very often you seen anything lowered here. I think that's kind of why I want to do it just to be different. That and it's a 2wd pavement pounder so it makes no sense to go up.

No air bags for me I'm just going to get a hanger kit and shorter shocks. Right now this is the one I'm looking at.

So for under $500 I should have my 2/4 drop done. Well then another $500 for some new front rubber since the current tires will be rubbing like crazy after the drop (they already slightly rub the plastics now) Lol

If we were to have a 2wd it would also be in the weeds and be a tire eater, we want a older SS/T but hard to come by good ones over here.

Why not 4 link the rear over the winter and coil-over shocks that would be sweet and also let you tune the suspension in. Help you get that power to the ground, if you have a mig and can weld its not that costly to do.

Are the 2wd truck already an axle-over rear end, if not you could also do that, maybe sorry not too familiar with 2wd rear suspension in these trucks. New weld on spring perches are like $12 from Mopar.

What about wheel offset you going to have any issues there?

Anyway nice truck.

I would've loved an ss/t and that's basically what my truck was minus the badass wheels and stripes. I would've felt bad hacking up an ss/t to drop my Hemi into to.

I don't know enough about suspension to tackle building my own 4-link (and I can't weld worth **** lol) but my grandpa is pretty good at welding along with a buddy who is a welder by trade I think I could cover that if need be. Maybe I'll do some reading on 4-link setups this winter and see what I can figure out.

I've got all winter now to piece together parts for another round of mods in the spring. But my truck is in storage already right now and the shop will be taken up by a 74 cuda that we are rebuilding this winter so I've got nowhere to work on it.

The 2wd have the axle under the springs same as 4x4s. Flipping the rear axle equals about a 6" drop and requires notching the frame. I don't want to go that low or mess around notching my frame.

As for the rim offset I have no idea what these rims are. But I've got 1 1/4" spacers on them now so they will fit over the hub on the front. I know they shouldn't be a problem with the drop since I've them on a few lowered 2nd gens.

I have been thinking about going back done to a 17" wheel to help reduce rotating mass and make er a little quicker :D Was either thinking of trying to find a set of ss/t rims or the off road rims.

Thanks for the compliment to. From what I've seen of yours it is looking pretty good as well.

Balljoints and brakes for his. Then it's off for a safety and e-test and the on to a new owner. I tried convincing him to keep it but he's set on getting a new truck.

@john123 - ya the cuda we are doing was my uncles and had a restoration almost 30 years ago when he was only 15 at the time and it was his first car. It's still in good shape considering its had a hard life with my uncles heavy foot and probably over 100k miles since being done. I'd post up a pic but don't have any on of it on my phone right now.

Nice looking truck but I will say you need to loose the flares or get some new rims and tires to fill them out better.

Yeah I agree with the flares, but I couldnt pass the truck up because of that. I want bigger tires anyways, plus maybe a small lift so I may need them here in a little while anyways
