What's this Part I Found??? Part ID Please.

I found this part under the air cleaner housing when doing a throttle body cleaning. It wasn't attached to anything...just laying there wedged under the air cleaner plastic.

1998 Dodge Ram 1500 3.9 6 Cly 2WD

Do you know if it came from this truck and what i might be needed for?

That's a mounting doo-dad for the airbox. The male end inserts into the bottom of the airbox and then the female end attaches to a small stud on a bracket underneath the box.

I just got this truck and have been bashing my head trying to find the source of a weird whistling sound on deceleration. I had given up and thought it must be normal.

But holy moses! Putting this mounting bit into place sealed fixed it! No joke....you're a life saver!

What's this Part I Found??? Part ID Please.
