For any of you that didn't know that a loose gas cap would turn on a check engine light like I was, well now you know lol I went to oreilleys and had the codes ran and the guy said dude your gas cap is loose. I felt like a moron lol oh well lesson learned, now I know

yep, the fuel tank must be able hold pressure, if the gas cap is loose or bad, it will bleed that pressure off and a sensor trips a CEL..

new gas caps are 20 bucks . they should be replaced anyway after 50k IMO
