I have tried the search without much luck. Can anyone post pictures of dropped for wheel drive trucks and what it takes to get it lower. I think just lowering the rear to level the truck out would be enough. Thank you in advance.:favorites13:

*crickets* Get a 2 wheel drive, that'd be my first step in lowering the truck. Seems like a huge waste to me.

I'm not trying to slam the truck. Just want to level it out. I'm not a big lifted truck type of guy. I only wanted four wheel drive for traction in the snowy months, not for mudding or off roading.
The new dodge 4x4 don't have near the wheel gap these 2nd gens have so is buying a new one a complete waste?

go to auto zone and get you a set of 2" drop shackles to bring the rear down.

lowering the rear is simple you can either go with a longer shackle or remove/shorten the block. in the rear 2wd shocks will work. if you want to lower the front you could cut one coil for about 2 inch drop. but do not cut 2 you will be on the bumpstops.

Who would lower a 4wd, that's just dumb... KIDDING. I love my lowered 4wd. Every hillbilly lifts one, be different. I believe a 2" drop shackle should be a 2" drop on a second gen, either 2 or 4wd. The height difference is in the spring.

If I cut a coil off the front spring would I need more then just the shackles in rear you think? And to you ohiogrown your truck like nice. You should color match your grill and bumpers though!
