Welcome to the Ram Forum! Best way to figure out how much your truck is lowered is to measure the distance between the top of the tires and the bottom of the wheel well. Not sure on the 2nd gens, but the 3rd gens are about 4"-5" in the front/8"-9" in the rear stock. As for figuring out what kind of kit you have, the color of the springs could help. And if it has been dropped more than 2" you really should use lowering shocks.....
