Hey I'm new to this form I have an 01 ram 1500 sport Off road Edition on 33's. I was going to purchase a 3" lift from rough country lift for it, but after doing some reading, I knew that the ORE had a factory lift of what I have read is 1.75 inches. I wasn't sure if it would be a waste of money to potentially raise the truck an inch and a half if that. I was wondering if anyone on here has done this has pictures ect. Any I'm put would be awesome thanks in advance

Look for trucks that have a 4-5 inch lift.

I was going to buy the 5 inch lift kit if it wasn't going to raise the truck more then an inch. I don't have a problem spending the money, just didn't want to buy a kit that wouldn't work because all of them that are less then $1800 say they won't fit the off road edition. I don't know the truth of all this so I figured I would ask around. Forgot to add this is a 4×4 truck extended cab short bed

As you are ore take off 1.75 from every lift kit u see, so a 7 inch kit will only lift your truck 5.250 inches from where it is now.

Any 1500 lift will fit but you won't notice a difference unless it's at least 4-5" as merc said.

Who sells a good 7 inch lift kit that you don't have to cut up the truck to make it work? I see a lot of kits that say some cutting and welding required.

Look at Skyjacker. I am at 7" getting ready to go to 10" and I have yet to cut or weld anything. Drill yes.

Because you have 4.5" of front lift and that's the stuff you do at 3

I haven't had an issue with it yet and I have beaten it pretty good. It performs fine on and off road and nothing is under stress

The highlighted is ********. Just because you haven't noticed a problem doesn't mean there isn't one and everybody's definition of "fine" is different. You did the half assed way of lifting no ifs ands or buts about it

My truck was already lifted from the factory. All I did was basically extend my springs by 2.5 inches. It barley if not at all changed anything else about the suspension
